Re: Kill Switch Corrosion
We used CRC when I was in the Antarctic. The military depends on it in bad weather and at sea. It works well.

Re: boy, you don't want to go down on this stuff!
...and then there are the fools who will challenge common sense. I don't even like the sound of tar and chips hitting the underside of my little bike. It is hard enough to get tar off of the sides of my bike. The underside is almost impossible! If I must ride on that stuff I grit my teeth, and then ...

Re: AdMore lights on a GiVi E55 Maxia
I know that this is the Forza site but on my PCX tailbox I added led lights that have now been installed for years without problems. However, when I originally purchased my Givi box I had also purchased their light kit. It connected by way of some kind of magnet once the box locked into place. It wa...

Re: (New Brake Levers) Parking Brake Won't Engage
When I changed my bikes over to adjustable levers the parking brake no longer worker. The reason for that has to do with the cable on the left brake lever. The right brake lever handles the front brake only. (Read up on that. The front disc has 3 piston. The left lever is a combination brake but doe...

Re: New LED Headlights
I agree with Conlite in that LED lights don't seem to last as long as the manufacturer installed ones, but the trade off is much much brighter lights. I have aux LED lights installed on my bike with a separate switch on the handlebar so that I won't be left in the dark if the bulbs burn out while ri...

Re: New LED Headlights
Thanks! I have now ordered some! I have been waiting for them to start selling the led bulbs in lots of less than 100, since they seem to be the only ones left who sell them. Even though I know that I will have to sell my bike soon enough, I still want led headlights. (I already have led aux lights ...

Re: Riding a slow bike fast
Well, just because you own a 157cc machine does not mean that it won't be fun when it reaches 60 - 65 mph, even if it can go faster. I have a 153cc PCX and it CAN do 70 - 75 mph. That doesn't mean that I want to do that speed all the time just for the thrill of it. I am quite happy when it keeps up ...

Re: Advice on GIVI accessories
Mounting kit? Maybe things have changed since I installed mine many years ago. My mounting kit involved mirror extenders so that the mirrors could clear the wider windshield. That was the whole "kit". I wonder what is different now.

Re: Advice on GIVI accessories
I can not give you advice on specific Givi products for the 2019 model, you'll have to look up what fits your year, but for Givi products in general I have a 2013 PCX that I purchased the tall windshield and tailbox for when I purchased my bike way back when the bike was new, and I have had no probl...

Re: New to me 2018 PCX 150 with 16,900 miles
Before you spend all of that money I would suggest that you read this: https://hondapcx.org/viewtopic.php?p=144244#p144244 Honda has been changing the gearing every time a new version of the PCX has been introduced, which increases fuel efficiency but affects top end and the ability to improve that ...

Re: Is it reasonable to take a PCX on a cross country trip
Honda says that you can get 70 mph out of the new ones, but don't bet on it. They changed the gearing, lowered the cc's, and did a few more "improvements" that made it look pretty but kind of locked out individual "tinkering" that could get more out of it. So much for our $100 up...

Re: Transporting a PCX in a minivan
I don't advise trying it. There are a lot of things that could go wrong, including getting there and finding that your minivan is too small. As I recall, a Mazda MPV is smaller than most minivans. That isn't a bad thing, but the PCX would have a bit of a problem not only fitting in it, but also beca...

Re: Check-off the monsoon ride.....
First of all, I would NOT ride in the rain if I could help it. Not only is there the problem of oil on the road, there is the problem of poor visibility...not only for you but also for other drivers. Let's admit it, there are drivers who just can NOT drive in the rain. I see them all the time. Some ...

Re: Mirror Won’t Tighten?
Pull the mirror completely off. Then look at the threads. If they are stripped there should be a service somewhere that can re-thread it. Once that is done you may need a washer and some Loctite, but it should be fine. (I am assuming that the loose area has a bolt, not the top area that can't be tig...

Living in Dallas, Georgia (Paulding County) is not the same as living in Cobb County, Georgia. It is sort of like going backwards in time, except everyone has a new pickup truck, and no one believes in masks.

Aaaaah...WOW! That is the thing to do during the pandemic! Congrat! Well, next on the list is a good wash of the little PCX...so it won't feel left out. After all, it gets the tail end of the rv all the time, and that means that it gets really dirty. Because we live so far fom civilization now we do...

Re: PCX 125 Died Mid Ride
I think I missed something in this conversation. Have you pulled the side cover and checked the belt? If it breaks there is a good chance that the bike won't run. In fact, if the belt shreds you will have pieces stuck in gearing, which will also stop the engine. Bottom line: did you check the belt y...
