What is this thing?
I noticed this while riding the other day. It is a piece if rubber hanging down below the seat on the left side. Does anyone know what this is? The only recent maintenance was having the fuel pump warranty performed. I plan to run it by the shop soon, but I wanted to check here first in case it can ...

Re: Sure looks like a FORZA -sad business
I wonder if this is the intersection where the accident occurred? https://goo.gl/maps/5J6s7 Then there is a pedestrian crosswalk at the intersection, but the pedestrian was at least 60 yards short of that crossing. Looks like the spot. Perhaps right in front of that McDonald's is where the tape is....

Re: Looking at getting a Forza!
Not sure if you plan to ride the interstate, but I find the Forza to be much better than my previous bike (an air-cooled Harley) at stop-and-go stuff. However, it is not the best choice when speeds get past 60 mph. It's perfect for me on the short stretch of interstate that I ride when commuting in ...

Re: How cold will you ride?
I live in KC and my Forza has been hooked up to my Battery Tender since at least Halloween and hasn't moved. When I had my Harley, I had the heated gear, but my Forza is for warm weather fun. I think I stopped riding once it hit 55 degrees. No regrets.

I do a simple towel dry after a ride in the rain or after a wash.

Update: GN4 10W-30 or 10W-40
I went to the dealer to exchange the oil and the same parts guy told me 10W-40 is what the shop "always uses on their oil changes". I simply stated that I wanted to follow the owners manual and use what was recommended. He said 10W-30 was in the manual because of some "California emis...

Here is what I found on the Pro Honda Oil website. Since I am not in a hurry, I think that I'll exchange it for the 10W-30.

Re: GN4 10W-30 or 10W-40
I just updated my profile. I live in Kansas City. I am unlikely to ride in temps below 50 degrees, but often when it is over 90.

GN4 10W-30 or 10W-40
I stopped by my dealer last week and requested the oil and filter for a 2014 Forza. At first, he didn't know what a Forza was, so he looked it up on his computer terminal at said "oh, that's NSS300", but I still don't think he knew what one was. Anyway, he came back with an oil filter and ...

Re: 600 mile service question
I too rolled past 600 miles last week, so I need an oil change. I called my dealer and was quoted $65. I have the tools and materials (torque wrench, filter wrench, oil collection pan and instructions), so I think that I'll do it myself. I did it on my Zuma and my Harley with no issues. The local Ho...

Maybe just unhook it for the first trip and see what happens before cutting anything.gn2 wrote:Even with an isolator switch there's no guarantee it would start after eight weeks of inactivity.

Re: Dolly, tall windscreen and battery tender
It's just the Honda Tall Windscreen, part 8R70-K04-900. It and the installation was included in my original purchase, but it looks like the MSRP is $139.95. I wasn't sure if I liked the look the first time I saw it, but now I don't even notice it. Regardless, it has resulted in a significant improve...

Dolly, tall windscreen and battery tender
Nothing exciting, but here's a quick update on my Forza: It sits nicely on the dolly that I used for my motorcycle. Very handy for placing it in a tight space in my garage. You can also see that I had the taller windscreen installed. http://i1351.photobucket.com/albums/p796/Lebowski_SKC/dolly_zps378...

Re: Traded my Harley for a Forza
That's so true. I sometimes find myself reaching to squeeze the clutch. I'm an avid cyclist too, so it should come naturally that it is like a bicycle.WhiteNoise wrote:stephen, how ya doing with yer "clutch?"Getting use to Not having one? Is it too easy to ride?
Now that's Cool!

Re: Traded my Harley for a Forza
I enjoyed my time on my Sportster, but it was time for something new.
The Forza rides nice. The biggest change is remembering that there is not a clutch to squeeze.

Re: Traded my Harley for a Forza
Trying to sell the Harley was a hassle. Craigslist is loaded with motorcycles. I started at $7,500. No responses. I dropped it to $6,900 and I just got low-ballers. I've sold several items on eBay and I have a 100% rating, so I tried that too. However, I couldn't get a bids to get past $6,500. The b...

Re: Traded my Harley for a Forza
Thanks for the welcome. I had a Zuma 125 that I thoroughly enjoyed, but I'd always wanted a Harley Sportster, so I traded the Zuma toward the cost of a Harley. It was a fun bike to ride, but I missed riding a scooter. This time, I wanted a bit more of a scooter than the Zuma, so I thought about the ...

If I could get a 2013 for $2,600 + tax, I'd take it.
