Re: R.I.P Fonda
Yeah that looks like the normal type of patchy road job you get used to seeing in the UK i'm afraid, any heavy rain or other slippery stuff especially on the patched up parts can be deadly. In the village I used to live in, the whole area looked a lot like that, even riding a bicycle was hazardous s...

Re: Service Costs
Just had my 600 mile service 2 days ago, came to £63 and took around 1h 30m.
I asked about the next service (2500) and he said it would be around £110 without the valve clearance checks and £150 with.
He did say it will more likely be £150 though.

Re: Hello
Yeah WhiteNoise, it was so embarrassing at the time though, especially as there were two of us doing the CBT and the other guy (aged 17 and I'm 30) had no problem with it at all ... Turns out he had quite a bit of experience with off-road motorcycles though which made me feel a little better....

Welcome Blazinby
CBT is really easy and before you know it they'll be getting you out on the road.
Hardest bit for me was getting the bike off the center stand

Re: New PCX Owner - needs advice
Just as a quick update, I e-mailed Cornwall Council to see what they would suggest and they basically said the same thing, if it's not causing an obstruction and it is not in a valid car parking space, then it is free to park there. I'll keep a copy of that e-mail just in case they do decide to fine...

Re: Unspoken Law of "The Nod"
I'm 30 and completely new to bikes and scooters but I really love "The Nod" :D First time it happened was from a fellow scooter rider with an L-plate which I thought that's why he nodded, but on my second ride out there were 3 occurrences of "The Nod" all from much bigger bikes I...

Re: New PCX Owner - needs advice
@RichyP Thanks for the advice, I was planning a trip into Plymouth and tried what you suggested and it came up with lots of places to park, mostly for free too :D So it looks like it's just the smaller places that aren't very clear where you can park, most of the coastal towns / villages in Cornwall...

Re: New PCX Owner - needs advice
Thanks for the welcome! :D @Valiant Unfortunately there is no one to ask, there is only a "Pay and Display" machine. I would - if I really have to - pay to park in a car parking space but the ticket has to displayed in the front windscreen. In a car this is no problem, it's securely tucked...

New PCX Owner - needs advice
Hi! Been lurking around for a little while now as I was researching which scooter to get, in the end I went for the Red Honda PCX 125 2015 model and so far I am really glad I did! :D I'll get a few pictures up when I find a nice bit of scenery as a background  As a completely new scooter user I...
