Gas overfill and starting issues
I posted this a couple of weeks back (based on knowledge I had at that time - see below) - however the same issue happened again yesterday. My son reported that he could not start the bike after he had run an errand and it was in a parking lot. Well he had no access to a power outlet to charge the b...

Re: how to start pcx when it wont start
I had an issue last week. My son had taken the scooter out just for 15 minutes and when he came back - left the lights on for about 10 minutes - but the scooter would make the cranking noise but would cut out as soon as I left the brake lever or the throttle. This persisted for about an hour of cont...

2021 PCX Owner's Manual
Hello everyone
Am I missing something here - I tried to get the PDF manual from Honda downloaded and all I can find is ADV150 in 2021. I can find European versions in other sites - but not the official US version for 2021. Does anyone have it ?

2021 PCX wash
Folks - this is a very elementary question.
Can I wash the PCX with a hose ? I am always afraid I will damage something in the process. Any tips to quickly wash the scooter would be appreciated.

Re: How many miles do you have on your PCX
I have had a 2019 for over a year and have put about 1000 miles on it. Incidentally I purchased a 2021 last weekend with similar miles on it. They both have 3500 miles approximately. It is searing hot in Tampa FL and it is almost impossible to ride. I am hoping that weather improves a bit. I love th...

Re: 2021 PCX 160/125 owner’s review thread
I recently acquired a 2021 and I also own a 2019. I have owned two 2013's in the past. The one thing I noticed is that cold start shudder is gone. The 2013's and the 2019 has the shudder when starting cold. It lasts just for a few seconds but it definitely is there. Fast forward to 2021 - it is not....

Fues system cleaner
I just recently purchased a 2021 white pcx with about 3400 miles. I was wondering If I should use a fues system cleaner when I fill gas the next time? It still has 1/2 tank so I need to put few miles on it before it somewhat empties. Any and all advice is appreciated. Please also suggest the type of...

Crankcase Breather video
Can someone point me to post a video as to how to clean the crankcase breather ?
I recently purchased a 2019 PCX with 2k miles on it. I will change the engine oil and possibly drain the brake fluid as well. Anything more than that - I am not that handy,

Battery replacement
I did it again. I left the lights on and now the battery does not charge enough to start. I did order a new battery from Amazon however am confused as to how easy is it to remove the old battery. I saw two videos and the first one showed that I only need to remove two nuts in the front facing (top o...

Re: Brake pads
Is it as simple as taking the two screws off and adding some oil ? Is there something else I need to do as to avoid air bubbles etc. I just want to be sure how to do it .

Brake pads
My PCX brake oil shows just about at level. Should I change it ? I am not sure whether it has gone down over the last 18 months of me owning it. The bike has about 4k miles. Also, how do I check the brake pads ? I could not find any pictures anywhere. Lastly, are the brake-pads easy to change ?

Jump starter
My scooter is just fine and has no battery problems. I was wondering if this scooter battery is jump-able ? I was thinking about the battery jump starters that are so popular and see if it is added value to carry them all the time in the trunk. I have left the lights on in the scooter at home and ha...

Re: how is your scooter doing in this heat?
I own a PCX and a Honda ST1300. After I ride the ST1300 in Tampa (Feels like heat index 108 F) and then ride the PCX - it feels like an air conditioner. PCX is no issue in real heat. I just have to wear white long shirts and have a turbo-cool wet towels around my neck and then all is good.

Maintenance
Folks - Thanks in advance for your comments. I have successfully changed engine oil and final drive oil. I was wondering what else I could do (myself) without doing much damage and also preventing a bigger headache in the future. My pcx only as 3700 miles and what are the things I should worry about...

Shell Rotella T6 5w-40 full synthetic generator oil
I wanted to know anyone who may have tried this oil. Dozens of motorcycle forums for all kinds of bikes swear by this oil. In fact this is not even marketed as an automobile oil. I myself use it on my Honda ST1300 and have been very happy with it. I wanted to know anyone who may used it on pcx and g...

Shuddering start
I have noticed in my PCX. I experience a shuddering start on a cold bike. The bike vibrates a bit when I try to move from a stationary position.
Once it has gone a couple of miles, this problem goes away. is this normal ? or should a worry about it ?

Re: Ethanol Free
I double checked today and I stand corrected - it is Ethanol Free - 87 (not 94). It is about 80c more expensive per US gallon ($3.04 vs $2.22). It also has a separate pipe and hence there should be no residual "other gasoline". As the scooter fills for just about a gallon - I feel I always...

Ethanol Free
Hello All I have a new Racetrac gas station that opened very near my home and I saw that they offer ethanol-free-94 gasoline. Would that be good for the PCX ? it is a bit more expensive - but on a scooter where I ride for less than 150 miles a month - I am looking at less than 50c per month extra. T...
