Re: Hand gaurds

I don't have them on any more but I made some hand guards out of clear plexiglass. It was easy enough, and I used a heat gun to bend the plexiglass as needed. Putting holes in the plexiglass was easy enough as long as I took my time. You could also heat the drill bit, but I think just putting painte...

Re: New PCX Owner - Possible Regret

Keep in mind that most Honda owners take pride in owning their scooters. This individual was probably not one of them. After you fix whatever you consider a problem, you might take it to a shop to have it serviced. You have no idea when it really was serviced if you can't trust what the previous own...

Re: 2013 150 driver backrest

I know that this will sound crazy, but I havereal great luck with my setup. I have a beautiful 2013 model with just about every option, many of them being my own inventions. I have had 13 back surgeries and procedures. So back comfortable is extremely important to me. With that said, here is what yo...

Re: How to charge my mobile phone using PCX battery.

I have my bike apart one more time, and this time I am adding a USB handlebar cable with a SAE end so that it plugs into the SAE end I have connected to my battery for recharging the battery during the winter. This new USB port has an on/off push button switch on it and two ports. I will connect my ...

On the other pieces that are just a different color, make sure they are the same year. If they are exactly the same, you could buy one of the cheapest ones (such as the $8 one) and then remove the paint. The base on all of these parts is flat. black. You may not match the particular color of black, ...

Re: Blinkers trouble

It sounds like you are not getting enough current to the turn signal circuit until you rev the engine. Check that your battery is fully charged. I wonder if, with the engine off (key in ON position) and a charger attached to your battery, your turn signals would work properly?? Try that. If that wor...

Re: Rear wheel spin when on centerstand feels rough

I wouldn't expect a 2020 version to have the clutch bearing issue. The earlier models had this problem on some of them, though not all of them. I haven't had any problems on my 2013 model, though my wife's 2013 model did have the clutch bearing go out. I think the factory had some problems with a su...

Re: Hit 80 mph on my 2013 PCX (164 lbs rider, tucked, drafting behind behind truck)

On the stand your bike would hit a higher speed, but on its stand is not real life. Wind is one of your biggest enemies on the road. I have a tall Givi windshield so that I can ride upright comfortably, and yet I can still max my speedometer out past 75 mph, so the bike could do it. The question wou...

Re: Hit 80 mph on my 2013 PCX (164 lbs rider, tucked, drafting behind behind truck)

Do you really WANT to go 80 mph on such a light bike?? I can ride at 75 mph comfortably but it is a bit scary when a truck passes me. The bike sort of floats. It doesn't give me a feeling of confidence in my ability to avoid an accident should the vehicle in front of me come to a sudden stop. A scoo...

Re: Speaker wiring

Why? If you have a problem starting the bike, you certainly don't want to have to contend with additional connections that could be contributing to the problem. Connect it so that you just flip a switch after the bike has started and you will have less problems later on. I have several things wired ...

Re: Dash Cam

It obviously depends on how good you want the picture to be. If you are using it as a dashcam for capturing traffic just in case there is an accident, then any dashcam will work. I have mine mounted on the inside of my windshield and it does the job I installed it for. I had a GoPro there but though...

It is almost like when I reached 75 my body decided to let me ...

Re: 2013 vs 2015 buying decisions

My 2013 has 6,300 miles on it, and it has NOT been sitting. I keep it in the garage, I wash it every year at the beginning of Spring, I change the oil every so many months, whether it needs it or not .It is well taken care of. In other words, just because it has low miles does not mean that it isn't...

The most common problem with the PCX is a dead battery. Look for a new battery with high cold cranking amps.

Re: 1000 miles on a pcx in 24hr

I did 500 miles in a day (10 am to 7 pm), just a leisurely ride on back roads, so I know that 1000 miles could be done. My wife had a PCX as well, so we just decided to go on a ride to 'touch' 5 States in one day, which we did. We stopped to eat, refuel, and just sightsee before heading home again. ...

Re: Just picked up a 2011 pcx what do I do first ?

I am not the person to answer that question, though I believe that some members who upgraded using the Yuminashi kit ended up buying an add on fuel controller to supplement the kit. I don't recall any of the members using computer tuning on the basic model PCX. Hopefully some of the old members are s...

Re: Just picked up a 2011 pcx what do I do first ?

Make sure the oil has been changed recently. If not, change it. Next, check the belt. A new belt makes a lot of difference. Now for the good stuff. This upgrade won't be as good as upgrading the piston, etc like some have done (https://www.yuminashi.eu/pgm-fi-tuning-8/), but these should give you hi...

Very nice, as usual! Looks like some bad weather coming your way. I was thinking about my scooter this morning. I definitely need to wash my poor little thing. It has been sitting most of the riding season and winter. Come Spring it will be time to sell her. She is still a beautiful scooter, but old...

Re: Which Red MSR bottle

What am I missing here?? I have a 2013 PCX 150, and I get 100 mpg, 114 mpg if I ride at 45 mph. I am pretty sure that the newer 150cc PCX would still get 100 mpg. Therefore .25 is 1/4 of 100mpg, which means at minimum you should get 25 miles from that little MSR bottle. Unless you are riding across ...
