Re: Stiffer rear springs?
I appreciate that the original shocks are showa but as far as I know these none adjustable shocks can't be modified with stiffer coils unlike ohlins . Maybe take a few measurements and look around a few 2nd hand parts stores for some decent shocks as a low cost alternative

Re: Stiffer rear springs?
I belive ohlins do make a number of springs a d maybe an email or call directly would be the easiest way forward. The or shocks are the budget end but ohlins would tell you if they can help upgrade just the coils.

Re: After-Market Clutch kits
Hi, I recently swapped out the original clutch for carbon pads, stiffer springs and a machined housing . These mods coupled with roller weights of 12g and 10g work well on my 2020 adv 150 and give much crisper acceleration and still a top end of 116km . I bought the parts on line from lazada and ali...

Re: Less stiff clutch center spring?
Yes it's the same although you can get 3 springs here in Thsiland, 1000,1500 and 2000 which are colour coded. I found the original rollers too heavy and went lighter for a small top end loss but better acceleration and better fuel economy.

Re: Horrible brake noise while rolling back after cleaning
Brake cleaner evaporates in seconds and is probably what he used so its not that. I'd guess either dirty pad faces which you can clean with a brass wire brush ( like used on suede shoes ) as its sort and won't hurt the pads or possibly sticky caliper pistons which can be accessed by removing the pad...

Re: ADV 150 outside temperature not working
Sounds ob but have you gone through all the settings pushing the left hand button I.e battery volts, trip A, trip B etc as it only shoes up on one setting then reverts to di information on the next button push .

Re: ADV 160 CVT
I've upgraded my 150 cvt system here in Thailand. I use 12g and 10g rollers on a machined roller case to give full roller movement. I put carbon clutch pads and stringer springs inside a lightened machined housing to save wright while adding add5 grip for the clutch pads . I weigh 92kg and those lig...

Re: ADV 150 battery light
On my 150adv I upgraded to 7ampHr battery of same size and it hasn't been an issue since. The alarm/ keyless ignition and twin running lights all take a toll on the battery and if not used almost daily the battery suffers . Honda reckon 2 years from the battery if lucky here in Thailand .

Re: HELP! How to add new smart key on Honda ADV 160?
No sure its good news, I had to go to the dealer with my smart key which I bought from Internet. The dealer took about 5 minutes to pair it to the bike with the white code tag . I don't think you can do it yourself but am happy to be corrected

Hot start up issue
Hi, not sure if anyone else has had this issue with their ADV 150 but recently I've had 4 occasions when the bike wouldn't fire up after a decent ride if I hopped off to refuel or use the atm machine. The engine cranks but no throttle response . If I leave the bike another 5 min it fires up no probl...

Re: Hello Newbies! We're Glad You Found Us!
Hello fellow Honda owners/ riders, Gary here from a very small village in northern Thailand. To be honest I'm actually from the UK but retired in 2018 and moved here 3 weeks later. I know what some of you are thinking , why am I here ? Simple reasons, first it was retire and live ok out here or keep...
