Re: Forza in the rain is like religion
Cool and damp is a treat for me, too. Not quite May and already getting hot and humid here. Today was the first ride of the warm season, with the mesh jacket instead of the Aerostich. Won't get cool again until October. Whatever the locale, if you only ride when the weather is perfect you miss a lot...

Re: Honda PCX150 New Zealand edition........
Always amazed at the differences Honda and other companies make across the world - do they ever conduct polls asking people what they would like, as lots of what is available in Thailand and now NZ are not available here, and I bet people would like many of those options to be available. It looks l...

You're right, it's not the first time. The last time that was said to me would have been on the playground in elementary (primary) school.you you wrote:

Re: Take responsibility
What an unkind thing to say to anybody, you you. Would you say that kind of thing to someone in person, without the anonymity of the Internet?
That is a rhetorical question so no need for an answer. Regardless of whether your answer would be yes or no, I feel sad for you.

Re: Take responsibility
I have had drivers tell me that they didn't see us after they cut us off, and I was wearing a Hi-viz jacket, bright yellow helmet, on a red bike, with additional lights on in the front. So the question is, what more could I have done to be seen by them? Maybe those flashing lights are the answer, b...

Re: Take responsibility
The opposite of accidental would be intentional. The crashes I have seen were when a lady driver made a turn in front of an oncoming cyclist. He hit her broadside and flew over the cars roof. The driver said she didn't see the motorcycle and it seemed to have blended in with a pole. This was many y...

Re: Take responsibility
I like this one from another forum. . One of my instructors teaching at the MSF when I took it with my wife was a police officer. He said "accidents" are when things beyond your control happen.... tire blowout, wheel falls off, deer hits you, etc... Everything else is a "traffic cras...

Yep--I have bent knees holding up the Silver Wing, but couldn't flat-foot the Forza in the showroom.
My daughter is 5'10" and has legs long enough for a full-size adventure bike. (I'm jealous!)

Re: From Motorcycle.com: PCX top box mount recall announced
Probably right, GN2. Still, since it's a free replacement, mine will be swapped out. (The Honda topbox on my bike makes a lot of racket. Rattles so much it sounds like it's loose but doesn't move when I yank on it.)

Re: From Motorcycle.com: PCX top box mount recall announced
The part is recalled, and does not depend on the seller. Here's info from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA). I recommend contacting Honda at the number provided to ensure you get notice when the replacement part is available. Regards, Bash (former NHTSA attorney; this post i...

Re: 50cc or 150cc
My daughter just turned 15 and is eligible for a scooter license (up to 250cc, IIRC). I saved my PCX150 for her because it is tame enough for a new rider but has enough power to keep up with traffic. Although she'll be limited to riding in our town (a bedroom community of Dallas), speed limits on th...

Very nice! What's the old building?

Re: Purchase price for 2015
I posted in another thread about a local (Dallas, TX) price: Local dealer has a new 2015 PCX150 in white, for $2999 (USD), including freight and prep. You'd have to pay licensing fees and sales tax on top of that, at a minimum. Price varies: how many a dealer has in stock, what kind of floor financi...

Re: Price Check
I'd take it in a flash and keep it for one of the kids/grandkids Why don't kids want to learn to drive or ride anymore....? Damn good question. My son waited two years past the minimum age to get his license. I'm keeping my PCX for my daughter. She's eligible now (just turned 15) for a scooter lice...

Re: Regular Long Distance Riding
"I also think 45 mph is a nice riding speed for this bike , but 35 is even better for exploring and gazing about. "
Exactly. I ride locally on roads with 35-40 mph posted speeds. Folks tend to go 5 mph over, so the PCX is perfectly suited.

"so decided to buy it back. ..., saving a lot of money ..."
Um, I'd be very surprised if you did. Bet you lost a ton of money selling a 7-month-old bike and rebuying a bike at retail which you sold at wholesale. You paid dearly (again) for those accessories.
