Re: Deliberately idling Forza on stand to empty fuel system
I like to run my gasoline equipment periodically if feasible. Many will disagree in that in winter the humidity in the air will condense and contaminate the fuel and oil by the warming and cooling cycles.I think if you run it and get it hot enough the condensation will burn off from the oil. Periodic running keeps vital components lubricated throughout its down time.I would never run it dry by idling as this produces unwanted carbon build up perhaps. Gasoline stored will last 3-6 months , but I would remove the cap and put a sealed cap unvented or cork or something to prevent Oxygen from getting into the tank. This will prevent further moisture and oxygen from deteriorating the gas and prevent the volatile components from evaporating off.Stable helps. If really concerned , just pump or siphon out the little you have left in the tank and put fresh new gas in it this spring..good to go.

Honda must have built a well sorted little electrical & mechanical system into these Forzas.
Running that fan for 3+ hours without drawing down the battery or heat stressing a stationary bike during this endurance test!
Well done you, Honda!
Fish.

Humph. I missed a little detail in octane required for my Forza. When I read (OK - skimmed) the manual when I got the scoot, I saw 91. I did not pick up on the 91 RON. I've been running 91 octane (USA calc) for three years. At least is says 91 RON or higher.
I guess that can end now.

On my scoot, getting there is WAY more than half the fun!

Used to be “necessary” for two stroke bikes to keep the crank seals wet but I mostly do it because I like revving engines![]()
