Brake levers - differences in stock lever curvature

Brake levers - differences in stock lever curvature

After 5 years of ownership I just noticed the front brake levers on my '14 reg PCX are different :) - which explains why the rear brake action has always felt easier to grip and pull the lever (concave rather than fairly straight as per the front brake lever). So, why did Honda do this or is it common across many manufacturers?

I know they can be changed for adjustable ones - but I am just wondering why a more concave 'front' brake lever is not deemed acceptable as per the one Honda fit for the rear.

I can't explain why other than the fact that the front is disc so there is a reservoir on the right and the hydraulic lines are routed to that side.

My wife noticed it immediately because she has small hands. I purchased the adjustable ones which solved the problem so well that I replaced my levers as well. Great investment.

It gets worse. Go into your car and you’ll notice all the pedals are a different height

Thanks for the normal p-take you you - but it is a lot harder to use the stock 'straighter' rhs lever than the curved lhs one for those with less than long fingers (and I fit a normal large RST glove but still find it awquard to use the rhs lever).

Heat it and bend it to the shape you are comfortable with?
