After riding various bikes for nearly 20 yrs I've recently come over to the dark side and seen the light . I only went and got a pcx!

Bought it new last week, a few miles locally to get the feel and then plunged into my daily commute 30m each way. Half of that on motorways. This was my only concern but now it's almost run in I'm confident it can cope. Great to flick thru traffic and the average mpg gauge makes me grin every time I look at it

I'd be lying if I said I didn't miss the grunt of a bike cos I do.....but not that much. I love that smooth glide away from the lights grinning insanely at the driver next to me as they realise they've lost!........for the first few yards anyway

Will be doing all my own servicing starting with the first this weekend. Oil change and check the screen. I don't plan on checking valves just yet, maybe about 10k? Anything else I should look at?
Was thinking of a different screen but not so bothered now. Heated grips I think. Are the oxford ones ok? The stock tyres seem ok in the dry but the front did step out on a roundabout on the first morning to work. Nearly dropped it ....eek! My fault really. Will consider other tyres when these have worn out.
Thats it for now. Happy scooting
