Left CrankCase Cover Torque Values
When replacing the Left Crankcase Cover there are 11 6mm bolts of varying length. I can't find the proper torque spec. I tightened to 9ftlbs but that just doesn seem tight enough.
What torque value should I use?
Thank You

Re: Left CrankCase Cover Torque Values
When you say the crankcase cover do you mean the belt cover or the actual main crank cover?

The aluminum belt cover. Part number 1 here:

The bolts are numbered 14, 15 17

Re: Left CrankCase Cover Torque Values
Just do it by hand, there's no need for a torque wrench for bolts like that.

Left CrankCase Cover Torque Values
I had a look in my pcx manual to get a guide and there isn't a torque setting listed as far as I can see. What you've torqued it to will be fine. They don't go that tight

Re: Left CrankCase Cover Torque Values
Agreed... I did not see a torque for the belt/vario cover either. Just a healthy twist about equal to tightening your cars fuel cap in a staggered pattern of your choice.

Re: Left CrankCase Cover Torque Values
I find the SM unclear on this point. Page 12-4 has no specific torque values on these 11 bolts. Page 12-5 refers to them as "Bolts (8 mm head)," and there seem to be the correct number of the circled in the picture.
Looking back at the general torque values on p. 1-11, I see an entry for "Left crankcase outer cover socket bolt" with a 6 mm thread and a torque value, but there are only 3 of them. In the chart of standard torque values above this, I see two different 6 mm bolt & nut values and yet another for a 6 mm screw.
Comparing with the parts list (cf. link above), I believe that the values we are supposed to use are for the "6 mm flange bolt (include NSHF)" despite the "nut" being built into the scooter.
Yes? No?

Re: Left CrankCase Cover Torque Values
There's a plastic cover that bolts onto the crank cover with 3 bolts. It may be them.
