Re: Got "Morphed"
Ahhh, thy slings and arrows.... Yes, some would be more direct and say it is down right "Fugly". It does take a different esthetic path. The custom scene in Japan takes these bikes into the realm of "Mondo Bizzaro". Long and low, it reminds me somewhat of a cut down "l...

Got "Morphed"
I got carried away and picked up a 2006 Yamaha Morphous last week. Many things remind me of the PCX I had. The seating position, exposed bars, feel familiar only with larger proportions. http://imagizer.imageshack.us/v2/640x480q90/633/F5Lrry.jpg If the ergonomics of the Forza were more like the Morp...

Re: Yamaha tops PCX
I'm going to join this since I had a PCX125 and have ridden the SMax. Of the several bikes and scooters I have had, the PCX is one of my favorites. My first scooter was a Majesty 400 so Yamaha is familiar. The build quality on both brands is excellent. A test ride on the SMax reveals the Yamaha stan...

Re: where can you park a scooter
I ride with a friend who has a HC tag on his Harley. Neuropathy makes walking any distance painful and he gets looks and comments all the time when he parks in a designated site. I do wonder about some of the places I park my scoots. Sometimes it is a challenge finding an appropriate spot when I wou...

Re: How far have you rode your scooter?
To us, that is the best way to ride... no planned trip, rural roads, just riding. Lots to explore. Just go for it and don't worry about the road. If it turns into dead end, judt turn around. All you lost was some time. Most of the time though we aim north, south, east, west and just go. If we plan ...

Re: How far have you rode your scooter?
Here are a couple of other pics of his set up. He did fab up the stand offs in his garage. I don't recall if he had any breakdown of the mounts. David (Duallyman) did have a couple of offs during his trip and the bike was intact for the most part when he returned. http://www.hondapcx.org/viewtopic.p...

Re: How far have you rode your scooter?
My longest day was about 360 miles from home in Tryon out to Deal'sGap and back. Had to get my vanity photo. ;) http://imagizer.imageshack.us/v2/640x480q90/854/306412.jpg Just took rain gear and water/snacks. This bike went 23,000 miles last summer over five months. David was ready to get home but w...

Re: PCX 2015 - 2014 side by side
I am strongly considering trolling the dealers for a deal on a NOS '13. I do miss my red '11 125 and the affair with the Fly has gone stale.
The PCX is one of only three bikes I regret selling to satisfy my Multiple Bike Disorder. Just can't see the extra $$ for a 2015. Yeah, I'm a tightwad.

Thanks, Maddie! Just as I thought. Still suspicious of a repaint on such a new bike.

Matte Black-US?
Checking to see if any one knows if the matte black finish was/is sold in the US. I know they are available in Thailand. I am looking at one nearby and it appears to be matte black in the photos. The flyscreen looks the same. I have a feeling this is a repaint job or an aftermarket set of plastics l...

Re: I have Finally Solved the Tie down problem!
Great idea! I too have pondered how to attach things to the back. Now I have a project to keep me busy while it is too cold to ride. 8) I have used ROK-STRAPS http://www.jpcycles.com/product/445-257 to tie down gear on several motorcycles. These straps work the best of any others tried. They come in...

Re: CVT mods for PCX 150?
I had a "Homer" moment like Dashredder installing sliders in the variator on my Fly150. Top end dropped 10mph. After checking and reinstalling correctly all was well again. Top speed was back and acceleration feels smoother and quicker

Re: across the US and back on the PCX125... my experiences
What a great adventure. Thanks for the report and pics. You were able to easily fit the bike out for a long ride. Nicely done! I have been itching to take a long tour on a small bike. Have been trying to decide between my PCX or a Fly150 that recently came to me. All things considered, the PCX will ...
