Scooter Cannonball Run - Its a real thing!
Once more demonstrating scooter people are nuts. No wonder I love this forum. The article goes into great detail of participants, vehicles, and history. Its quite a in depth read. A closer look at the Scooter Cannonball https://www.usatoday.com/in-depth/graphics/2021/07/02/scooter-cannonball-vespa-r...

Re: New LED Headlights
Mel, When you do yours, can you do a before and after comparison like mymitzi suggested? I wish I thought of using a wall. The price is definitely reasonable. There are few different vendors, not that I can tell one from another about quality. I actually luck with another Ali Baba vendor. I got a re...

Re: Frightened by Phillips. Grips with Fear
I like that impact screwdriver. Next time I'm at HF, I'll probably grab one. A T-handle will be good add to the tool box. This one didn't need it, but I was glad to know what to do next if I ran into trouble. I soaked the screw in PB Plaster. I gave a few taps on the screw too. I found a bit that fi...

Frightened by Phillips. Grips with Fear
I'm wanting to put heated grips on the 2013 PCX150. Upon inspecting the grips I see they are secured with my nemesis: a Phillips screw located in situation that is ripe for stripping. It just seems that it will be difficult to put as much force as needed into the screw to prevent the bit from slippi...

Re: ~ Forza or PCX ~ Things to consider
I was about in your place a year and half ago. Only difference was I had zero riding experience. I took the Ohio in-person 1 night, 2 day-weekend riding class to get my motorcycle endorsement. The course is absolutely worth it. The great thing is they provided the motorcycles. Once you get your lice...

Thanks for the suggestions and links. Y'all are great.

Re: Roll Call
Doing well. No commuting, but riding is a great release after a stressful day in the home a.k.a. office. I feel blessed that the family and I are healthy and though the wife is laid off, I'll keep getting a paycheck. And riding a scooter is cheap social distancing hobby.

Yes, I can remove the tailbox and use the rack. I should have mentioned that.Mel46 wrote:My first question would be, do you have a tailbox rack? A 25 pound bag would probably not fit in a tailbox,
I can also place the bag into a duffel bag that has handles and loops.

Suggestions for the best way to tie down a load
Somewhere on this fantastic forum I thought someone suggested the best method for securing larger objects on the back. Can I be directed to that or a have refresher posted? I'm getting a 25 lb of birdseed. Working from home means I needs to improve the view in my backyard. And I don't care how cheap...

What to do when the wheels are off
I'm new to scooter ownership, but old to "wish I would have done that when..." I took my front and rear wheels off and got the local shop to put on new tires. My 2013 PCX150 is at 3000 miles. Most of the miles mine from a season of riding. I wanted to get the old tires off and new Michelin...

Thanks for posting. It must be the wanderlust in me; I truly enjoy the posts from far flung locals. Thinking about riding in tropical weather sure sounds nice as I watch the rain/snow mix from my window.

Re: No dice on Halloween ride!
Through the fall I have how to stay warm in cold mornings in the 30s. More recently I'm coping with how to navigate in the dark dim of dawn. Still other mornings over the summer and fall it was and keep clear sight with the mist from fog obscuring my visor. Earlier this week I rode my commute starte...

Re: Will the Price of Gasoline/Oil Products Rise?
I never even knew there was a movie Quadrophenia, though I knew The Who album, so i looked it up. From IMDb: Quadrophenia (1979) R | 2h | Drama, Music | 2 November 1979 (USA) Jimmy loathes his job and parents. He seeks solace with his mod clique, scooter riding and drugs, only to be disappointed. __...

Re: Train Spotting
It is indeed the Mighty B&O. Also know as me and my Monopoly playing cousins in our childhood the stinky railroad. It wasn't until I moved to lovely Ohio that I saw it labeled on a local map. As for who owns it now.... Apple? Bank of America? CSX?

Train Spotting
I got stopped by this famous railroad track in use.
Waiting for a train was never so much fun.
OK bored [sic] players... can you guess this line that nearly everyone knows?
